ICTA (Information and Communications Technology Association of J&K) is a non-profit organisation established by over 35 ICT business units in the state and mandated to promote ICT sector within the state. The aims and objectives of the Association are:

Main Objectives

• Jointly work with the state government in effectively implementing the existing and future IT policies, providing consulting, and facilitating requisite development, expertise and support
• Facilitate new business ventures and opportunities in partnership with private sector ICT players in tier 1 cities of India and from overseas
• Work towards improved infrastructure support and services to ICTA member companies
• Work towards improved support and services to ICT professionals by enhancing the requisite skills
• Work towards raising ICT awareness in the state

Overall Objectives

• Work towards provision of requisite ICT infrastructure and services to strengthen and promote the state’s economy.
• To establish ICT as a major industry segment within the state providing long-term, sustainable employment for professional ICT individuals

ICTA represents the first industry-wide, non-profit, ICT developmental effort in the state.
